Frequently asked questions

Under 2 minutes. All 12 public data sources are queried in parallel, and the AI analysis starts immediately after data collection completes.
3 credit checks in total within 30 days for 1 team member, at CHF 0 — no credit card required. Trial checks do not renew; for more checks you need a paid plan.
Go to Settings → Billing and choose Starter (CHF 49/month, 25 checks) or Professional (CHF 149/month, 100 checks). Checkout runs through Stripe, and annual billing saves 20%. Only organization owners and admins can manage billing.
Anytime, with no minimum term: Settings → Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can cancel — or email support@signalscore.ch. You keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
Our Terms of Service contain no general refund clause: there are no refunds for partial months, and no partial refunds when a subscription ends — cancelling stops the next charge instead. If you believe a charge is a genuine billing error, contact support and we will investigate and correct it.
Use the "Code" tab on the login page: we email you a one-time verification code. After signing in, set a new password (minimum 8 characters) under Settings → Account.
Settings → Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can view and download all invoices and update your payment method.

No. The score is an indicative, AI-generated assessment based on 12 public data sources — transparent and source-cited, but not a certified credit rating and not financial advice. Treat it as one input among several.
Go to Settings → Account and type DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the delete section to confirm — or email support@signalscore.ch from your registered address and we will handle it for you.

Short, factual guides to the most common topics.

SignalScore is an OSINT-based credit assessment tool for Swiss companies. It works in three steps:

  1. Collect — When you run a check, we query 12 public data sources in parallel: the Commercial Register (Zefix), the Official Gazette (SHAB/SOGC), the cantonal register, the UID Register, the company website, LinkedIn, Google Maps, news media, DNS/WHOIS records, job portals, the Wayback Machine, and SwissReg (trademarks/patents).
  2. Analyze — Claude (Anthropic's AI) reviews the collected data and writes a transparent, source-cited explanation for each scoring dimension.
  3. Score — A deterministic formula scores 7 weighted dimensions from the raw data and combines them into a composite score from 0 to 100.

The 7 dimensions and their weights:

  • Registry & Legal Stability — 25%
  • Officer & Governance Analysis — 20%
  • Digital Presence & Infrastructure — 15%
  • Temporal & Change Velocity — 15%
  • Workforce & Growth — 10%
  • Reputation & Public Perception — 10%
  • Business Listing Verification — 5%

The composite score maps to a letter grade: A (85–100, very low risk), B (70–84), C (55–69), D (40–54), E (25–39), F (0–24, very high risk). Every risk factor and positive signal in the report cites its data source, and the individual dimension scores are visible in every report.

Important: The score is an indicative, AI-assisted assessment based on public data — not a certified credit rating and not financial advice. Treat it as one input among several. The full methodology, including per-dimension data sources and known limitations, is published at signalscore.ch/legal/methodology.

SignalScore has three plans. All prices are in CHF and exclude VAT.

Free Trial — CHF 0

  • 3 credit checks in total, usable within 30 days
  • 1 team member
  • Trial checks do not renew — after the 3 checks (or 30 days) you need a paid plan to run more

Starter — CHF 49/month

  • 25 checks per month
  • Up to 3 team members
  • PDF export of reports

Professional — CHF 149/month

  • 100 checks per month
  • Up to 10 team members
  • PDF export of reports

Annual billing: Both paid plans can be billed annually at 20% off the monthly rate (Starter CHF 39/month, Professional CHF 119/month, billed yearly).

How limits work: Your monthly check quota resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused checks do not roll over to the next month. Your current usage and the reset date are always visible under Settings → Billing.

How to upgrade: Go to Settings → Billing and choose a plan — checkout runs through Stripe, and the upgrade takes effect immediately after payment. Only organization owners and admins can manage billing.

There is no separate Enterprise plan available in the app today. If the shipped plans do not fit your volume, email support@signalscore.ch and we will look at it together.

Signing in. SignalScore offers two login methods on signalscore.ch/auth:

  • Password — email + password
  • Code — enter your email and we send a one-time verification code; enter the 6-digit code to sign in

Forgot your password? There is no separate "reset password" email flow. Simply sign in with the Code tab (one-time code to your email), then set a new password under Settings → Account. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.

Creating an account. Sign up with your email and a password and accept the Terms of Service. An organization is created for you automatically. Each legal entity may maintain one organization.

Team members. Depending on your plan you can invite additional members to your organization (Free Trial: 1 member, Starter: up to 3, Professional: up to 10). Invitations are sent by email from Settings → Members. Roles matter: only owners and admins can manage billing and members.

Language. The app is available in English and German. Your language preference is saved on your account (Settings, DE/EN switcher) — it follows you across devices.

Deleting your account. Go to Settings → Account, and in the delete section type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm. This removes your access permanently. Data retention after deletion follows our Privacy Policy. You can also email support@signalscore.ch from your registered address and we will handle it for you.

How payment works. Paid subscriptions (Starter, Professional) are purchased in the app: Settings → Billing → choose a plan. Checkout and recurring payment run through Stripe, our payment provider. You can pick monthly or annual billing (annual is 20% off).

Who can manage billing. Only organization owners and admins can start a checkout or change the subscription. Other members see the plans but cannot purchase.

Invoices and receipts. Once you have an active subscription, the Manage subscription button in Settings → Billing opens the Stripe Customer Portal. There you can:

  • view and download your invoices
  • update your payment method
  • cancel your subscription

Billing cycle and quota. Your monthly check quota (25 on Starter, 100 on Professional) resets at the start of each billing cycle — the exact reset date is shown in Settings → Billing. Unused checks do not roll over. Prices are in CHF and exclude VAT.

Free Trial. The trial costs nothing and requires no credit card. It includes 3 checks total within 30 days; trial checks do not renew.

Questions about a charge? Email support@signalscore.ch with your organization name and the approximate date of the charge, and we will check it — billing questions are handled with priority.

Cancelling. You can cancel anytime — there is no minimum contract term:

  • Self-serve: Settings → Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel with a few clicks.
  • By email: write to support@signalscore.ch from your registered address and we will cancel for you.

After cancelling, you keep full access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, your organization moves off the paid plan and no further charges occur.

Refunds — the honest answer. Our Terms of Service do not contain a general refund or money-back clause. Specifically, the Terms state:

  • Payment terms (§6): subscriptions are billed in advance, and there are no refunds for partial months.
  • Termination (§15): when a subscription ends, access ceases at the end of the paid period and there are no partial refunds.

In practice this means: cancel before your next renewal date and you simply will not be charged again — but amounts already billed for a running period are not refunded pro rata. If you believe a charge is an error (for example a double charge or a charge after cancellation), email support@signalscore.ch and we will investigate and correct genuine billing errors.

Downgrades. The in-app checkout only handles upgrades. To move from Professional to Starter, cancel or adjust the subscription in the Stripe Customer Portal, or contact support and we will sort it out.

Free Trial. The trial requires no payment details, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund — it simply ends after 3 checks or 30 days.

Only public data. SignalScore uses exclusively publicly available data — no non-public, proprietary, or confidential data. The 12 sources queried for every check:

  • Zefix (Swiss Central Business Name Index)
  • SHAB/SOGC (Official Gazette of Commerce)
  • Cantonal commercial registers
  • UID Register (VAT status, NOGA industry code)
  • Company websites
  • LinkedIn (estimated from public search snippets — not direct API access)
  • Google Maps (business listing, rating, reviews)
  • Google News (recent articles)
  • DNS/WHOIS (domain age, security headers, mail infrastructure)
  • Job portals (public listings on jobs.ch, Indeed, LinkedIn Jobs)
  • Wayback Machine (historical web archive)
  • SwissReg (trademarks and patents)

Every factor in a report cites the source it came from, so you can verify each data point yourself.

Privacy of your searches. Your searches are private to your organization. Companies you check are never notified, and search data is not shared. Every query produces an audit trail, and processing is designed to comply with the Swiss nDSG.

Known limitations (also published on the methodology page): LinkedIn figures are estimates from search snippets; business-listing verification relies on Google Maps data (no physical inspection); officer analysis is based on the target company's own SOGC publications (no cross-company network analysis); several sources provide a current snapshot rather than history.

The full methodology — dimensions, weights, grade bands, academic foundations, and caveats — is public at signalscore.ch/legal/methodology.

What monitoring does. Creditworthiness is not static. Monitoring lets you watch companies you depend on — key customers, suppliers, partners — and notifies you automatically when something changes in the official record.

How it works. When a watched company has a new SHAB (Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce) publication — for example a capital change, a board member update, a purpose amendment, or an address move — an alert appears under Monitoring and in the notification bell. Each alert corresponds to one new publication, with the SOGC date shown.

Starting to watch a company. Run a credit check, open the report, and click Watch. The company then appears under Monitoring → Watched Companies. You can stop watching at any time from the same places.

Plan limits. Monitoring is included from the Starter plan:

  • Free Trial — no monitoring
  • Starter — watch up to 3 companies
  • Professional — watch up to 10 companies

Tracking score changes over time. Separately from alerts, you can run a new check on a company you checked before and use Compare (in Check History) to see how the score, risk factors, and positive signals changed between the two checks.

Alerts are informational. An alert tells you that an official publication happened; it is not by itself a judgment about creditworthiness. For a fresh assessment, run a new credit check.
